G.O.1: Building Your Church’s Great Commission Matrix is the revitalization entry point that jump starts a church toward significant gains in vitality. This vitality is evidenced by increased health, growth and multiplication as a church’s ministries are aligned with the Great Commission, an alignment that moves ministry outward into the community, the “GO” element of the Great Commission. The most significant tool presented in G.O.1 is the Great Commission Matrix, an approach to ministry that positions the church to work through its congregation to reach its community. Positioning the ministry of the church in this way promotes numerical growth by conversion, sorely lacking in today’s typical church.   The cry of G.O.1 is Ready, Fire, Aim. The idea is to avoid the trap of spending too much time developing vision and strategy before moving onto the mission field of ministry. G.O.1 commits at the very beginning to Great Commission Vision and Great Commission Strategy. Simply stated, “What is our Vision? Our Vision is to go and make disciples. What is our Strategy? Our strategy is actually to go.” Don’t spend months planning to reach the community. JUST GO!!!

G.O.1 is typically scheduled 8:30 – 3:30 or 8:30 – 4:30. The longer time frame is required if lunch is off-site.

G.O.2: Expanding Your Church’s Great Commission Matrix adds the Aim to Ready, Fire. Capitalizing on the momentum built through G.O.1, a church’s ministry goes broader and deeper by refining its understanding of its local mission field and by orienting all of its ministry to work through the Great Commission Matrix. With a clearer picture of the community and all ministries in Great Commission alignment, the health, growth and multiplication curve reaches upward toward maximum potential.

G.O.2 is usually presented in a two to two and a half day format and typically follows G.O.1 by approximately one-two years.

G.O.2: Expanding Your Church’s Great Commission Matrix – Outline:
____ Aligning Perception
____ Aligning Vision
____ Aligning Strategy
____ Aligning Structure
____ Aligning People

G.O.3: Extending Your Church’s Great Commission Matrix addresses the issue of sustainability. The question is, “Once we effectively build and expand the Great Commission Matrix, how do we sustain that ministry capacity over long periods of time. When it comes to church life cycle, the rule of thumb is Vitality Lost Over Time, and that rule will eventually take over unless a church repeatedly breaks the cycle through ongoing assessment, evaluation and adjustment. G.O.3 equips the church to monitor its progress through a set of metrics that reflect health, growth and multiplication and changes the rule to Vitality Gained Over Time.

G.O.3 is usually presented in a one to one and a half day format and typically follows G.O.2 by approximately one-two years.

GO CLUSTERS – G.O.1.X: Building Your Church’s Great Commission Matrix (Expanded Version) is the training curriculum that is used in the online GO Cluster training.GO Clusters are designed to work with a cohort of five or so pastors/leaders over the course of one year. During that year there are six online training sessions as a cohort with one-on-one consultations with each pastor between those sessions.

Church Vitality Weekend: A full weekend of Church Vitality ministry typically includes a Friday evening leadership conference, a Saturday seminar, and Sunday morning preaching and teaching. This 3-day span allows for maximum staff, leader and congregational exposure to the biblical and spiritual underpinnings of vitality, and the accompanying strategic concepts, principles and tools. The weekend flows as follows:

Friday Evening Leadership Conference: Key church leaders such as pastoral staff, ministry staff/leaders, officers of the church and anyone else in leadership that pastors and leaders think should be included gather with me in an informal conversational setting. The conference has an open agenda that includes my sharing a bit of my testimony as it relates to the development of ministry in the area of church vitality, hearing from church leaders in terms of their perspectives regarding the church and its ministry, identifying important ministry issues and allowing lots of time for Q & A. These conferences typically run 2 to 2 1/2 hours in length.

Saturday Seminar: Saturday is devoted to the G.O.1 Training Seminar and is typically scheduled 8:30 – 4:00 or 8:30 – 4:30. The longer time frame is required if lunch is off-site. Other seminars such as The Leadership Ladder or X-52 could be delivered on Saturday as well.

Sunday Preaching/Teaching: Sunday morning typically includes my preaching at Sunday service(s) and often leading an adult class if such a class is routine or specially scheduled.

Leadership Ladder Training utilizes The Leadership Ladder: Developing Missional Leaders in the Church (Ogne/Priddy) with its companion WORKBOOK. The Leadership Ladder is a tool that was developed by Steve Ogne, gifted trainer and coach. This tool was captured in a book co-authored by Steve and myself. Steve went to be with the Lord after years of serious medical challenges and I followed through by creating a WORKBOOK that accompanies the book. In tandem, these two complementary resources can be used for on-site group training, online training, small group leadership studies or individual self-training. Leadership Ladder Training provides a pathway for developing strong missional leaders within the local church.

The Leadership Ladder: Developing Missional Leaders in the Church Outline:
____ Building Biblical Knowledge
____ Building Biblical Character
____ Living Missionally
____ Making Disciples
____ Mobilizing Ministry
____ Leading Ministry
____ Leading Leaders
____ Planting Churches

X52: Great Commission Skills for Pastors & Leaders was designed primarily with pastors in mind, but all church leaders are welcomed. If we want our churches to be missional, we must provide pastors with the resources to be the missional leaders that missional churches and other missional leaders need. Typically, pastor training has not specifically addressed the development of certain missional, or Great Co-Missional, skills that pastors must acquire. X52 fills that gap in an online format that is both cost and time effective.

X52: Great Commission Skills for Pastors & Leaders – Outline:
____ Skill 1: Discerning & Developing Vision
____ Skill 2: Casting Vision & Creating Ownership
____ Skill 3: Setting Objectives & Establishing Accountability
____ Skill 4: Managing Ministry Time
____ Skill 5: Working with Staff & Leaders
____ Skill 6: Leaving a Gospel Footprint
